STL Research are very pleased to announce their membership of the Celtic Sea Cluster, which is aimed at driving market readiness for floating offshore wind in the Celtic Sea.

The Celtic Sea Cluster’s collaborative approach is helping project developers understand industry challenges and the supply chain to develop innovative solutions that collectively will accelerate deployment of floating offshore wind in the Celtic Sea.

“The Celtic Sea Cluster is delighted to welcome innovative companies like STL Research whose products can support the deployment of floating wind technology.” Stated Simon Cheeseman, South West Programme Manager, Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult.

David Kirkley, Managing Director of STL Research explained, “We are honoured to become a member of this expanding and influential community. Our stand–alone Neptune Personnel Access System enables transfer of personnel with equipment or cargo, from a vessel via a gondola, to a fixed or floating offshore structure with full motion compensation.”

With floating offshore wind, both the landing point and host vessel are subject to wave action, and with Neptune’s ability to synchronise the gondola motion with its destination, it is ideally suited to safely and efficiently transfer technicians to any offshore structure.
